It involves the real Lloyd Kaufman, and not his character Herzkauf, in the ending room with co-writer/editor Travis Campbell during a very pivotal moment of the film which has a surprise Troma-tic cameo from the original Melvin, Mark Torgl, of The Toxic Avenger. However, there is one hilarious moment in the film that takes away from the story, but this is Troma, so it’s obviously forgiven. And there are some other nice twists and turns that make this a worthy Troma-tic reboot. The Cretins are still doing their thing but amped up with the fact that like Lauren, they spew up toxic acid that well, in the case of the science professor, makes him lose his eyes…literally.

In another of the film’s most insane moments, we see the traitorous Zac, reprised by Zac Amico, getting duped into getting full on naked in hopes to find Lauren and Chrissy and finding himself in a situation with the principal that is of Borat-like status and for those who have seen the Sacha Baron Cohen-film, you know exactly where this is going. In a hilarious nod to what we missed over the last few years, one of the items is a Blu-Ray of… Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1. But instead of one of our heroes getting her cycle, Catherine Corcoran’s Lauren takes the Nuke ‘Em High Chrissy route and begins to give birth…and it is more than a monster. It is none other than Carrie, and we’re talking the DePalma 1976 version. The opening of the film pays tribute to another horror classic, with even the opening credits done in the same font as this particular film. And it ended on a cliffhanger…while fans had to wait a few years due to post-production issues that forced Troma to do a Kickstarter to complete the film, the end result is here.Īnd while Troma have done many WTF films, this is yet their bravest WTF film to date. When in 2013, we were treated to a reimagining of their classic Class of Nuke ‘Em High in Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1, it was a chaotic mind of excesses combined with elements of the original film. With no other option, Lauren and Chrissy must find a way to end the chaos once and for all. Things get ramped up when Lauren’s mutated duck Kevin slowly grows into a human-duck hybrid monster and Herzkauf himself becomes mutated and becomes a monster who wreaks havoc when the Cretins take over the school. Chrissy learns her longtime friend Zac had set her up because he’s grown tired of being an outcast. Her relationship with Lauren gets exposed on a local television show, but that’s not the worst part.
Between her recent issue and the Cretins wreaking havoc, the President of the United States is terribly worried about the effects of toxic waste and nuclear power at the high school, courtesy of Tromaorganics head honcho Lee Harvey Herzkauf.Ĭhrissy, Lauren’s girlfriend, has been actively trying to expose Herzkauf’s colors and gets in trouble with Principal Wesley. Lauren, who had been assaulted and forced to have a mutated duck kiss her by the Cretins, was revealed to rapidly give birth to a mutated monster in the high school showers at Tromaville High. Now, it’s time to return to Nuke ‘Em High in the long-awaited conclusion! After we were introduced to a new brand of Cretins in Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1.
